National Pancake Day!

Get your pancakes on today people because today is National Pancake Day! Over 1,500 IHOP locations around the country will be serving a free short stack of their famous buttermilk pancakes, one per person free of charge!  The 53-year-old restaurant’s hope is that customers will voluntarily leave a donation for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in an effort to reach a goal of $2.7 million raised.  Since 2006, IHOP has raised more than $8 million and has given away more than 14 million pancakes in support of the charity. Last year, after giving away 4 million pancakes, the restaurants raised $2.5 million, exceeding their goal of $2.3 million.  What does 4 million pancakes look like you ask? Well, if lined up the number of free flapjacks served last year it would create a stack nearly 16 miles high! Holy pancakes! So, go enjoy your free pancakes today and leave a little something extra for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
